Kitakyushu Science and Research Park was aimed to be a nucleus of leading edge research that attracts the attention of the rest of the world. The city of Kitakyushu is an emerging city of Japan having closer proximity to asian counterparts the city is expected to be truely international. The aim of the Kitakyushu Science and Research Park is to create a hub of academic research in Asia and experience technological advancement concerning the environment. A related aim is to produce new industries and further development of technology by promoting cooperation between industry and academia.
